Pensar Academy is excited to offer a multitude of classes and services for the 2022-23 school year through our Parent Academy. Totally 100% grant funded, the Parent Academy is a free, highly engaging option for parents who are looking for engaging activities. You pick…like a Groupon with every “Things to Do” option totally free! These opportunities include:
- Second language learning through Rosetta Stone. Interested in learning a different language? Pensar Academy provides Parent Academy enrollees a complimentary license, laptop, headphones, and internet connection to every parent of an enrolled Pensar Academy student. Learn from the comfort of your own home!
- GED coursework. Interested in completing the coursework for your high school GED? The Parent Academy provides access to a certified teacher who meets once a week with you to guide you through the process! Pensar Academy provides Parent Academy enrollees a complimentary license, Chromebook, headphones, and internet connection to every parent of an enrolled Pensar Academy student. Learn from the comfort of your own home and have access to support to check this goal off your “to-do” list. The Pensar campus will be opened and staffed every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-7:00pm with Mr. Francés Vázquez is here to guide and support! In his words, “Let’s do this!”
- Special Monthly Events. Looking for something engaging to do on a weeknight or weekend? Tired of streaming videos? Check out the Special Monthly Events offered through the Parent Academy. Whether it is a cooking class or self defense class, our Parent Liaison/STEM Director, Mr. Samuel Francés Vázquez always has something cooking!
