Project Based Learning
Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an approach to teaching and learning where students develop knowledge and skills by thinking deeply, investigating real-world questions, and creating meaningful solutions over time. Learning happens through inquiry, reflection, and problem-solving, rather than memorization.
In PBL, students are not passive recipients of information. They:
-
Explore complex, authentic problems
-
Ask questions and test ideas
-
Apply knowledge across subjects
-
Collaborate, reflect, and revise their thinking
-
Produce work that has purpose beyond the classroom
At its core, PBL emphasizes pensar — thinking critically, making connections, and learning how to learn.
If you want it even more academic, philosophical, or aligned to a specific framework (IB, design thinking, constructivism, etc.), just say the word.
